Senior College Documentary

Saint Kentigern has a well-deserved reputation for excellence in our academic, sporting, cultural and service programmes and is recognised as a top co-educational, Independent Presbyterian Senior College in New Zealand.

During their Middle School years (Years 7-10), our students are taught in separate gender classrooms but when they enter the Senior School at Year 11, our young men and women go on to work together in a co-educational setting, developing teamwork and collaborative skills

Saint Kentigern offers Senior School students a choice of academic pathways. As an IB World School, our students in Years 12 and 13 can elect to either study towards an International Baccalaureate Diploma or the New Zealand qualification, NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement). Whichever qualification a student chooses, you can be assured they will be very well prepared for life beyond College

For all students, there is a focus on collaborative and student-centred learning, enhanced with innovative use of digital technologies in all the learning programmes across the campus.

Many of our students who graduate with NCEA and IB Diplomas go on to earn places at some of the best New Zealand and overseas universities.
